3/15/2018 0 Comments What Are Force Gauge And Its UsesA Force Gauge (additionally force gage) is a little measuring tool used across all industries to assess the force during a push or pull test. Software exist in research and development, laboratory, quality, manufacturing and field environment. There are two sorts of force gauges today: mechanical and digital force gauges. A digital force gauge is basically a handheld instrument that contains a load cell, digital part, applications and a display. A load cell is an electronic device which is used to convert a drive into an electrical signal. Throughout a mechanical structure, the force being sensed deforms a pressure gauge. The strain gauge converts the deformation (strain) to electric signals. The software and electronics of this force gauge convert the voltage of the load cell into a force value that is shown on the device. Test units of force measurements are most commonly newtons or pounds. The peak force is the most frequent result in force testing software. It's used to determine whether a part is great or not. Some examples of force measurement: door latch, caliber of spring, wire testing, strength ... but more complicated tests can be performed like peeling, friction, feel. Imada provides both mechanical and digital force gauges capable of the exact measurements necessary to determine the quality, potency or performance of a part or product. Imada force gauges quantify both compression and pressure (pull or push) forces. Mechanical Force Gauges Imada mechanical force gauges measure force in real time or peak modes, don't need batteries or charging and are intrinsically safe in hazardous environments. Low capability gauges measure up to 150 lbf and high capacity versions up to 500 lbf. The compact model fits into confined spaces and steps force up to 50 lbf. The all metal structure lets them keep their calibration for years with proper care. Each gauge comes in a hard plastic carrying case with a selection of attachments. Digital Force Gauges Imada digital force gauges have selectable units, programmable high/low setpoints and output peak or constant data for set by optional data acquisition applications in USB, RS232, Digimatic and analog formats. Imada low ability digital signals quantify ranges around 220 lbf, higher capacity gauges measure up to 1,100 lbf and our pressure gauge with remote detector measures around 4,400 lbf. Each kit includes a choice of attachments and a hard plastic carrying case. Torque Gauges Torque Gauge are intended for clockwise and counter-clockwise torque testing. The Jacob's chuck is a versatile attachment and can be used for many different applications. Imada, Inc. provides durable, precise and accurate strength, hardness, torque and force measurement tools and related force measurement type gear to many different industries -- aerospace, automotive, medical, electronics, food and beverage, packaging, construction equipment, etc..
